Free up disk space

By freeing disk space, you can improve the performance of your computer. Typically, temporary Internet files take the most amount of space because the browser caches each page you visit for faster access later.

Your role in the Web Design process

Getting Started.

So you decided you need a website. If you are like most people, your experience with the internet doesn't go much beyond email and google. And although you firmly believe you need an online presence to keep up with today's fast-pace, online world, there wasn't an internet 101 course in college, so you're not really too sure where to start and what exactly you are getting yourself into. You've come to the right place!

Our process page has one purpose only - to educate you. We aim to provide you with the resources you need to answer those important questions like "how much does this stuff cost?," "should I do the work myself?", "what to look for in a designer?", "what should I expect?". We also provide you with a handy, user-friendly questionnaire that will help you pick your own brain and decide what it is that you need from a website. (A filled out questionnaire will also be important for us to give you a firm quote on a web design project).

After indulging the articles on the right-hand side of the page, you should be able to answer for us (or anyone else) the following questions:

1. What are your needs?
2. What is your budget?

The Paperwork.

So you've determined your needs and decided on a budget. In the process, you have also asked Jaimee Designs for a project quote. We send you a firm proposal with a detailed summary of what we will do, an estimated project deadline, and a quote for the entire project. You are pleasantly surprised at how affordable the project really is =) and decide to hire us to build your new website (or re-design your out-dated one).

Before we get started, you must sign off on the project and pay the project down payment. That's it... the deal is done!

The Timeline.

1. Initial Meeting/Fill out questionnaire
2. Present Proposal/ Approve Proposal
3. Down Payment
4. Layout Presentation /Revisions (3)
5. Programming / Copywriting
6. Pull it all together / Revisions
7. Final Meeting /Learn Content Management System (if applicable)
8. Final Payment
9. Launch Website!

Your Job.

We know what you are thinking.... "I thought my only job was to pay you money?" Nope. Sorry. Since you know your business much more than we do, you do have a role in the website building process.

Copywriting
We can help with the writing if it is agreed upon in advanced, but you must be available to give us some direction. If you are supplying the copy yourself, we will need it within 3 weeks of starting the project.

Pictures
Yes... we can fill your website up with lots of stock photos, but a few real images of your people, your products, your events, and/or your buildings will go a long way in instilling authenticity online and showing your visitors that you indeed exist. We will need all images you wish to use on the main layout (logos, background images, etc) when the project starts. All other images can be supplied when the copy is ready.

Ideas
Look around, check out what your competition is doing. Think you have a neat way to present some information? Send it our way! Some of our best designs have come right out of a client's head, so we welcome any fresh perspectives.

Input
Throughout the design process, you will receive several emails with layouts and links available for you to review. Please let us know what you think. More than anything else, we want to make you happy, so if the design just ain't cuttin' it or the colors are off or the graphics need a second round of editing, tell us.... we're adult enough to take it! Remember this website will have your name on it, so it should represent you well.
